Minecraft my home

Create giant sculptures in your neighbourhood
Pave the streets with gold
Turn your home into a castle
Subvert urban design: cover it with flowers
*cough* Knock down your school *cough*

Mark from Exeter City Futures kindly generated St Loyes in Minecraft using the Geocraft software, which takes as its inputs open data from Defra and OpenStreetMap. I tried doing it myself, but it wasn’t too keen to run on Windows. So I’ve contented myself with exploring the world, creating olde-style postcards and railway posters, rebuilding the railway while on the train to London (very odd experience laying track forwards and moving backwards), and building bling-tastic Working with Gold Towers.

I’m opening up the world in mid-May for all to play, then holding a meet-up during Art Week Exeter to share stuff.
