What are now Quarry Lane and Digby Drive both appear on the <a href=\"http:\/\/british-library.georeferencer.com\/map\/jO41Jg8nkq03K1FYgn9sGH\/201202131810-1t5mQA\/visualize\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1801 drawing for the first edition Ordnance Survey map of Exeter<\/a>, and are probably much older.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">The route of Quarry Lane still exists, from the bottom of East Wonford Hill, past the Heavitree Stone quarries, and east along the Sidmouth Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">The other old way zigzagged from Salter\u2019s Road to Clyst Road.
