Shared Lectio Divina, 5 May 2020

Since April 2020, I have been jointly hosting a shared Lectio group on Tuesday evenings. The following are my reflections only, during the prayer session and as I wrote them up. Please see my separate commentary and leaflet for more information about shared Lectio, and here is the whole collection of reflections…

Gospel reading: John 10.22-30

Words: plainly … How long will you keep us in suspense? … no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand

Reflections:

I am feeling the suspense of the coronavirus in my body, as a string highly strung. There is the uncertainty of how long the restrictions will last, whether the government will do a proper job, whether things will explode. But God’s hands hold all and will not let go… a comfort.
