{"id":1043,"date":"2015-09-16T14:59:26","date_gmt":"2015-09-16T14:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/particulart.org.uk\/?p=1038"},"modified":"2019-09-10T16:02:55","modified_gmt":"2019-09-10T15:02:55","slug":"happy-ozone-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clarebryden.co.uk\/particulart\/2015\/09\/16\/happy-ozone-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Ozone Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UNEP has designated 16th September as International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, and 2015 marks the 30th anniverary of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bas.ac.uk\/media-post\/30th-anniversary-of-the-discovery-of-ozone-hole\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">British Antarctic Survey&#8217;s paper in <em>Nature<\/em><\/a> alerting the world to the ozone hole and the adoption of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ozone.unep.org\/treaties\/vienna-convention\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer<\/a> in 1985.<\/p>\n<p>So I knitted representations of the three main <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ozone_depletion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stratospheric ozone depletion<\/a> equations, took a photo, and published it online.
